Back in 2010, a group of long-time Thailand lovers and expats created something unique — a fun and helpful community called “Check Your Thai”.
What started as a small Facebook group helping tourists verify their Thai girlfriends soon grew into a friendly support network for everything related to Thailand — from bike rentals to accident help, travel tips, and even nightlife recommendations.
The community quickly became well-known around Pattaya, then across Thailand — especially among bars, go-go clubs, and snooker halls, where members shared advice about the right places to be and how to avoid scams or bad experiences.
Today, the Check Your Thai spirit lives on through the CYT Token — a community-powered project that celebrates the same values: trust, transparency, and Thai freedom. Our volunteer team and contributors are spread all over Thailand — from Pattaya to Chiang Mai, Bangkok, and Phuket — helping tourists, locals, and even Thais who want to “check their farang.” 😉
